I'm very happy with this alarm. I bought it to go in the shed at the bottom of the garden which is nearly 30 meters from the house and it works perfectly. The only negative comments I would make about this product are that I feel it could benefit from a flashing led on the sensor module so that it is visible at night and you can only turn the alarm off on the siren module so, if you forget, you have to run back to the house to turn it off. For these reasons I have only given 4 stars. However, as a wireless alarm to stick in your shed or garage it does the job extremely well for the price.

I've operated this Kasp alarm in my shed for about 3 months now and I have to say that I am not really impressed.
Firstly, the A4 Sheet 'Owner's Manual' gives very basic deatail, doesn't inform about how to set the alarm, alarm delays on entering & exiting the protected building etc. Might sound a bit basic but it does add to confusion
In operation it is inconsistent. Sometimes when selecting the system on the receiver the alarm sounds continuously - even after a good delay from leaving the shed and you have to switch off and start over. Other times selecting either of the alarm modes (siren or chime) results in just silence. So you don't know whether it is armed or not. When entering the alarmed building sometimes the alarm sounds immediately and sometimes there is a delay - inconsistency doesn't breed confidence!
The siren is weak - there isn't enough volume to wake me up and even my wife who is a very light sleeper wasn't roused when I 'tested' her. We do have to have the receiver in the kitchen as the signal won't penetrate our 3ft thick stone walls, so it may work if you have it by the bedside.
It uses mountains of batteries and the first lot in the receiver have just gone down - after 3 months!
On the plus side; I always take the receiver with me when I go to the shed and it has never failed to go off as I enter (whether delayed or not). The range seems good as the kitchen window must be a good 30ft from the shed and it does trigger the alarm consistently.
Just about does the job but a more comprehensive introducton to the system, consistency of operation and a much louder siren would make me a lot happier.

Having fitted the alarm I discovered that it only had an effective working range of less than 20 feet.
The alarm volume when activated wasn't particulary loud. I would challenge the 90db claimed by the manufacturers.
Only the small unit generates alarm sound. The 'shed' deployed unit is completely silent. The packaging has a diagram which could be misleading in this respect.
As my shed is 25 foot away from my house, this has been a complete and utter waste of money. Were this a shop bought item, I would take it back as 'not of merchantable quality'.Kasp 610 Wireless Garden and Shed Alarm

Reasonable
The unit seems to work OK, but the range isn't 15m as advertised. It's more like 5-10m, with completely fresh batteries.

Don't buy

Not very good!
I am afraid this item was returned. It wouldn't work despite going out and spending a fortune on the best batteries, now I have wasted money on them!!! Bit of a flop.
