Let down by cheap zips 23 April 2010
I was pretty pleased when this daysack arrived in the post, but I soon discovered that what is generally a useful (but rather small) item is seriously let down by cheap zips. I immediately found myself struggling to open or close them, especially when the sack was full-ish, and within a few days a couple of 'kinks' had developed on the main zip. I also found that the zips snagged on the fabric, and sometimes found it difficult to find the ends (I think both these last mentioned problems caused by weather strips that are tailored too tightly). I write in the past tense as yesterday, after no more than 6 weeks of use, the main zip gave out and I have had to discard the sack!

Won't be buying from Karrimor again unless the quality of the zips is clearly better than those on this Chinese-made model.

I bought this as I own a several years old Karrimore 'Spectre' which is essentially the same design but a bit smaller.

When I got it it looked like it was a similar product - but a bit bigger. However after using it for 2-3 weeks it started to fall apart. The seams between the main and front compartment gave, the zips jammed - it was very poor quality.

It is a shame as Karrimore used to make good quality stuff - but this is just rubbish I am going to have to replace it. I think this time I will avoid Karrimore.ºcÿÿ¼jÿÿ

Excellent bag 8 Mar 2010
The most comfortable rucksack I've ever had! I use it mostly for carrying books and it's perfect, there is a lot of space in this bag and so far it seems to be able to take the weight!

Cheap and cheerful
I'm surprised that other people have commented that this is small - because it's only 30 litres and that's not big so what do you expect? Read more
