2.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable but ..... 11 Jan 2010
By Andrew
Colour Name:Black|Size Name:9 UK
The soles wear out far too quickly. I bought my pair in the shops a couple of months ago and have walked every day since for an hour a day. The soles have already worn appreciably and I don't anticipate being able to use them for too much longer. It all goes to prove that you get what you pay for. I suggest that you avoid these unless you only use them very sparingly.

On the positive side, they are comfortable and waterproof. But for me that does not compensate for the poor quality of the sole.

3.0 out of 5 stars Keeps your feet dry 14 Nov 2009
I've been wearing these across sand and water and they keep my toes dry which is what I wanted. They feel heavy, but are ok to drive in. Mine are wearing fast on the sole so they must be soft rubber meant for grass rather than streets. I don't like the lack of grip in supermarkets and hospitals where I seem to skate when its damp. I wish I could tie them up tighter as they feel a little loose on my feet.

1.0 out of 5 stars karrimor shoes 12 Oct 2009
i agree with the review on site already that these shoe soles wear out very rapidly as i have walked about forty miles since i got them and i doubt if i will be able to walk another forty miles before i am walking in my bare feet

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware the reputable name 4 Sep 2009
It may be branded Karrimor (actually, I think its "made for...") but the soles wore into holes in 6 months with very moderate use only and the lacing system is stupid - the hard eyes tear up the laces in very short order and don't allow them to be properly tightened. They are comfortable and water tight but heavy. They are good for throwing at the TV and will probably last longer if you just use them for this purpose AND you won't need to try to lace them up. You will see these things heavily discounted in several places. I wonder why?

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin 26 Oct 2010
Colour Name:Black| Size Name:9 UK|Verified Purchase
Having read various reviews I thought that at this ridiculously cheap price high sole wear was still a price worth paying. As it is I have seen no sign of this yet and these boots are ideal for dog walking on the beach being light, comfortable and waterproof.

I have had problems with size 9's being slightly too small in the past but as another reviewer (or two)has mentioned the sizing is generous so no problems there.

Add to this speedy delivery and all in all I couldn't be more pleased.

5.0 out of 5 stars hardwearing and waterproof 19 Oct 2010
I don't know what some of the reviewers do with their walking shoes. These are comfortable, the laces don't tear, and they are completely waterproof. Of course the soles do wear but only as expected.....and they are top quality 'Vibram' soles. They are ideal for their intended purpose.......low level walking on relatively easy terrain.

I will continue to buy from Karrimor.

2.0 out of 5 stars Low cost and it shows 25 April 2010
Colour Name:Black|Size Name:10 UK
I've bought Karrimor products before and always been pleased with them, so I did not spend long checking on these shoes before buying. It was a mistake. They are not waterprooof - which I need them to be - and they do not lace up tightly as the lace lugs do not go far enough up the foot. But they are comfortable and have good grip.

I guess at this price, they are not bad, but not what I was looking for.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tried and tested in the Lake District 28 Oct 2009
By Stew B
Got these shoes early summer and have undertaken several fairly strenuous walks in the Lake District including Helvellyn via Swirral Edge. Considering their very reasonable price I have been pleased with their performance. Comfortable, no blisters, solid construction, waterproof and good protection in rocky conditions.
