These shoes are comfortable and cool. They would make ideal trail walking shoes for summertime. They are really just a strong very light walking shoe with slots for ventalation. This probably wouldn't make for good wet weather wear. They would be much better than even the trail type sandals for walking. They are so comfortable that they are the only shoes I've worn since receiving them. They use an elastic pull type means of tightening them instead of conventional laces; I like this and find it easy to use. My only concern would be if this tightening system failed is it is replaceable? If not and assuming it did fail which it may not, I could always revert to old fashioned conventional laces.

Received these shoes very quickly. As soon as I tried them on they fitted like a glove. With dark socks on they can be worn as a decent walking shoe and the Vibram sole is very comfortable and full of spring. I would recommend these highly. They will be nice and light in my backpack and yet double as a sandal and shoe. The material surrounding the upper parts of the foot are very light & soft so not as robust as a proper walking shoe but suits me fine. Was a bit suspect about the elastic fastener but it actually works well & adds to its comfort & fit around the foot. Haven't had time to test durability yet but considering price I don't expect too much regardless. I have bought Karrimor boots in the past and found that they tend to sweat a bit easily so hoping the ventilation strips work to counteract this. Finally I have narrow size 11 feet & these UK 11's fit fine both with & without socks.

Looks good at this price; I would never pay 80 pounds for it, what used to be the price of these sandals for most of the winter but for 20 quid it is great. I like such closed-toe sandals and the quality looks very good (albeit not great). Let's see how it will hold once the summer comes

As always with Karrimor it is hit and miss, these Hydro 2's are on the plus side are well ventilated, comfy on light ground and the elastic lace up makes them slip-on and off with ease.

However they are worth £30, no more, the crazy RRP of Karrimor is a little annoying.

But ignoring that, the only fault with these sandals, is that the side support is a little wiffy at best, easy to turn your ankle over if you intend to turn quickly etc, due to the elastic and the weak side material that whilst not falling apart weak, I mean more could be a lot better quality a material that stretched and supported the sides when turning etc. But if you weigh less than 8 stone this may not be an issue when turning, but I walk all day at work outside etc and have turned my ankle about 10 times in one day lol, not that I mid as I am good at flexibility etc, but it is a worry the day that I roll my ankle on some sharp ground/object etc.

But again, to have ventilated feet Crocs style, without the sweaty socks and stink of normal walking shoes, these Hydro's are the perfect blend to fill the gap between sock tearing off-road Croc's and heavy walking boots.

All in all, a good buy, if you get under £30 etc.

Well constructed with an easy to use elastic lacing system, dont let this put you off.
Walked the Costa Brava coastal path in these and worked fine in a hot climate.
Made a change from wearing my usual Scarpa boots.
Not for serious stuff, but on a dry coastal path, 12 to 20 miles a day with plenty of stops on route, these worked fine.

They are very comfortable, soft on the inside, light, don't make your leg sweat, get a good grip and look nice.

Recent purchase, so cannot comment on durability, but seem sturdy. Only let down by ineffective lacing system. Bought for the beach and should fit that purpose very well. Terrific price, and star rating reflects vfm. Good laces would have made it a five.
