Product Description

CD Description

After building up a solid worldwide fanbase through constant touring in support of their third album 'Comalies', the Italian goth metallers present the follow-up. With a masterfulproduction from extreme metal producer Waldemar Sorychta (Tiamat, The Gathering), 'Karmacode' sounds absolutely massive, consolidating all the best bits of the band's sound and pushing it forward. Includes the single 'Our Truth' and a cover of Depeche Mode's classic 'Enjoy The Silence'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can LC do no wrong, 10 Sep 2006
Tremendous album...a more varied collection of songs which would suit the new listener to LC's music. There is a greater flexibility of style than previously yet their coherent 'rockiness' exists in a flavour which is uniquely their own. Buy it, play it, enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER LACUNA TRIUMPH!!!, 10 April 2006
By Mr. A. Fletcher "leatherface's bro" (Norfolk, UK) - See all my reviews

Firstly, if you like Comalies you'll love this! It seems to simply continue where the last album left off, going from one GREAT song to the next. Christina's vocals are mezmerising amidst the low under-the-surface keyboards and full on heavy guitars! Each song has its own appeal, and the bass-lines shake everything in speaker-shot! Listen to it loud and with full bass to really know what I mean!!!
At present I still prefer Comalies, but this will soon take over I'm sure. The songs are well written, performed and sung, diving through a pool of different emotions, and to top it all off at the end...there is a FANTASTIC cover of Depesch Mode's "Enjoy the Silence" which is one for the goth clubs!!
Simply put, if you're into the Coil, then buy it!
If you're new to the Coil, it's a good album to start with!

5.0 out of 5 stars Backwards? Tosh! , 3 Jun 2006
By Mr. K. Mitchell "madmitch76" (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Previously to 'Karmacode' Lacuna Coil were another interesting band with a lot of potential. Here they have delivered that potential in buckets. If there is any justice this album should make them megastars.

Its a huge monster album full of memorable layered melodies (some with a distinct oriental flavour) and complex vocals mixed in with a 'wall of sound' of uncompromising bass and guitar.

I think what may have upset some reviewers is a reduction of the choral keyboards that dominated 'Comalies' and an introduction of a much heavier guitar/bass mix. This is still very much Lacuna Coil but the heavier production contrasts and emphasises their distinctive melodic style beautifully.

Marcos bass thunders throughout this magnificent album driving everything along. The drums and huge slabs of guitar dance around the bass and on top of everything you have the excellent twin vocal attack.

This is a grower. Spin it a few times and you will be rewarded with endless hours of enjorment. Only Tools new 10,000 Days has managed to dislodge this CD from my player for any length of time.

Now can we please have a full UK tour!!
