About the Author
Born and raised in Crawcrook, Ryton, Holly suffers from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and began writing as a cathartic exercise. After reaching the milestone age of thirty, attending a school reunion, and seeing a friend fulfil a life-long dream of opening a book-shop, Holly decided that in spite of her physical limitations, she still had something valuable to offer.

Like reviewer SarahW, I read the first chapter of Karma in the Bookforce "Undiscovered Authors" competition. Holly H Harvey then went on to win for the North East of England and the result was this highly entertaining book.
After making her way through school as an object of ridicule and practical jokes, Paige has still not managed to pull her life together at the age of 28.
Her working life is unsatisfactory and illness has left her straddled with debts that she just can't clear.
In the office things are not going to plan. After 4 years she is still not happy there and office politics are a constant dark cloud.
When Paige applies for promotion things really come to a head ; Karma needs a bit of a helping hand!
In the midst of this arrives an invitation to her school's 10 year reunion. She bravely decides to face her fears and attends with her close friend Sarah. There are, after all, some scores to settle!
I loved the way the book unraveled. Thanks to karma, and with a little assistance, the bad get their just desserts - but not necessarily in the way you'd expect.
Witty and erudite, this is a must-read for all fans of better quality, non formulaic Chick-Lit.

I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to after reading the damning one left by Northern Monkey of York.
I don't know how anybody could describe this novel as 'unimaginative'. It is completely different from anything I have read within this genre, and was very witty. I was unable to predict all of the many plot twists (usually I do), and found that I had to read it in one sitting as I felt I needed to know what happened to Paige (the main character).
I read extensively, and it is impossible to please everyone. Not all will identify with Paige and I think it was brave of the writer to use a Geordie heroine, rather than one from London! However, I personally found this book absorbing, amusing and, although not entirely true to life, believable. Pure entertainment and certainly deserving of its prize-winning status!

I am reading Karma for the second time, I LOVE IT, it is such a PAIGE turner (get it?)
Who cant relate to Paige?
I very much recommend this book, it is a fantastic read, it will make you laugh and cry!

couldnt put it down
I loved this book, i read it in 2 days and couldn't put it down. It's a shame the book isnt more available for people to read. Amazon is the only place i have seen it.
