Not entirely sure what this product is trying to do.

Some of the claims made for it are a bit confusing. Active oxygen therapy. Surely oxygen is one of the culprits in ageing via free radicals and oxidation? Never mind. to the product.

I grabbed this for the ball and chain, but also tried it myself as I'm diabetic and we suffer from dry skin quite a bit. It's sometimes embarrassing that flakes from my forehead come loose. I tried it and was initially thankful it isn't fragranced, although it does have a slightly chemical smell to it. The product is easily absorbed and does seem to help on those dry areas of facial skin that both sexes can suffer from. It isn't excessively greasy and only a little at a time is needed.

But the price! For the 15ml volume it's almost ridiculously overpriced, even for a product that's allegedly been so well researched. Maybe in a department store setting with somewhat aloof staff pushing it the product might sell, but maybe the manufacturer would be better advised dropping the price and increasing the package size.

My first impressions of the look of this product were not appealing. The sticker on the bottle simply claims that it is a facial oil with an ingredients list and doesn't do much to make it feel special. That may sound odd, but this is a premium brand with the high price tag to go with it and I would have liked something with a little more quality feel. I tried pealing off the sticker, but was left with the residue so put it back on. Bizarrely, the same information looks to be printed onto the bottle, so makes me wonder for the need of a sticker in the first place?

I'm in my mid-20's and use a day moisturiser that I have had to continue using with the oil. I suffer with dry skin that is greasy in the T-zone. I was concerned that applying more oil to my face would make this worse. In this I was pleasantly surprised, as the oil absorbs really well into the skin and I've been rubbing the little excess oil into my hands in an attempt to get rid of the dry skin between my fingers. This hasn't been effective, but it is advertised as a facial oil, so this hasn't influenced my review.

The first week of using this I was really disappointed as after applying the oil at night I awoke to very dry skin and didn't see any improvements. So much so that I did stop using it for a couple days.

I however wanted to give the product a fair review, so started using it again.

I have now been using it for three weeks and am finally starting to see and feel a difference. I have even received compliments on my skin condition from two separate people on different days, who are unaware that I am using this product.

I have very sensitive mature skin, and also suffer from flare ups of psoriasis, so was very keen to try this oil although I was a little concerned about how my skin would react. I am always keen to try out new products in the hope that they will improve my problem skin.

Firstly, I was disappointed that there wasn't a leaflet enclosed in the box, but I wonder if that was because this is a review sample? The writing on the box was impossible for me to read as it was tiny. Therefore, I had to Google for extra information.

I have been using this oil now for just over a week. I put a couple of drops on my face at nightime and again in the morning. It hasn't caused any spots to appear as I thought it might. I find I don't need to moisturise as well and the oil actually works as a serum under my makeup without making it slide off. If you find it makes your skin too oily I suggest you blot any excess off with a tissue. My sensitive skin has not had any problems with this product and so far my dry patches have been kept at bay. I'm sad to say my wrinkles are still with me though! Maybe I'm too impatient and need to wait longer. After using the oil, any product left on your fingers can be rubbed into your elbows, knees or heels - anywhere that has dry skin really. Waste not want not! It's also very good for your nails and cuticles but not if you want to put nail polish in as the polish will not be able to adhere to your nails. Quite a multi purpose oil!

To sum up I am fairly impressed with this product and will update this review in a few weeks to let you know if my wrinkles have diminished.

This face oil comes nicely packaged in a black and gold box, and inside is a frosted glass bottle with a black and gold lid that will look nice and classy on your dressing table!

The oil doesn't come with many instructions for applying, aside from saying it's too be used under the coordinating anti-wrinkle cream. However, I was only sent the oil to review so I am only able to use it underneath my normal night cream.

The bottle has a little pump on the top through which squirts of oil can be released onto your hands, and then smoothed onto your skin. I found I had to use three squirts each time as some of the oil gets lost on your hands (and you can't really apply it straight to the face). As such, I fear the bottle may not last too long!

The oil smells lovely - like an expensive spa! - and it feels really nourishing when you're applying it. It left my skin feeling very soft and smooth, and I could really feel the difference when applying night cream afterwards. The softness seemed to last a long time as well.

It's a bit early to comment on any anti wrinkle properties yet, but I'll update this review once I've been using it for a couple of months. So far I can say it's an attractive, pleasantly scented oil that's improved the texture of my skin; whether it works any anti aging miracles to justify its high price tag remains to be seen.
