This was a brilliant book that I couldn't put down. The storyline follows Karen as she tries to stop her over-protective parents from ruling her life and find the boy of her dreams... goes to show that you can fall in love with the most unlikely people! I loved this book because it was really soppy and very funny - exactly my kind of book and typical of the whole Boyfriend Club series

Okay but not great. Writing for younger audience than plot

The book is okay. I wouldn't reccommend it to anyone over the age of 11 or 12. It's about a bunch of freshman who are OBSESSED with finding boyfriends. It is very juvenile and I can't imagine freshmen acting that way. It is not very realistic, but it makes a good book for people under 11 or 12. In terms of writing I would compare it to Sweet Valley Twins Elementary, or Babysitter's Little Sister books and in terms of plot, I would compare it to Sweet Valley Twins Junior High and Babysitter's Club books. The series is really a mix between the two.
