Karen Mulder makes her second forray into the music world in this nearly all-French language ensemble, with not bad results. Mulder may not have the strongest voice, but she is nevertheless, very easy on the ear. The former supermodel offers a good bit of variety, with even a hint of cynicism in her self-penned number 'Divine Justice'. The highlights are undoubtably, the opening, highly-charged number 'Tu m'intrigues', 'A la Limite' and the beautifully haunting song at the end of the album, 'Etrange'. It is a an over-all well crafted album, which deserves wider appreciation and is a must for French admirers of pop music.

Supermodel sings,

Yes this is "THE" Karen Mulder supermodel and rockstar.The entire cd is in french, in case you could'nt tell by the track listing. The style is a soft french rock that very common on french radio. The cd is a good debut, she has talent. Karen for years was the face of every international magazine. Karen rocked the world with her sex abuse claims while she was a model. That could be part of the reason her record company did'nt get behind this, wanting to distance themselves from the allegations. Carla Bruni also has a cd former supermodel, singer, actress, international girlfriend,currently, at this time of writing the first Lady of France. As does Naomi Campbell which is the hardest to find. Her cd is called "baby moma". The single "love and tears" is actually good. These beauties have many talents, I'm sure that this is a collectable. |
