Dr Karen J Stevens was born in Northern England UK where as young as primary school age, she could be seen entertaining her fellow classmates in the school playground during daily lunch breaks, making most playground supervisory staff redundant, amusing everyone with her own self written scripts!
At university Dr Karen J Stevens was invited to join a writers group who wrote for UK TV programmes such as "Not the Nine O'Clock News", "Spitting Images" (early episodes), "The Secret Policeman's Ball" (Amnesty International) and "The Two Ronnies" (Comical News Desk sketches).
