A good introduction to the basic techniques of Karate. 14 Dec 2009
By Joseph J. Truncale - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This was one of the first books on karate I purchaed many years (1967) ago. Though many of the photographs are not very clear; nevertheless, the explanation of each technique is easy to understand. The author was one of the early leaders promoting karate in France.

In conclusion, this is a good book from a historical aspect.

Rating 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Monadnock Defensive Tactics System-MDTS).
Good reference. 28 Jun 2000
By D J Hands - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This was the first martial arts book I bought back in 1984 as a young 13 year old student of Shotokan karate.I found it a valuable souce of information when trying to understand those early techniques.Worth having in your collection for its break down of basic techniques and generally sound information.
