Biography

Alongside Switzerland's Celtic Frost and Sweden's Bathory, Germany's Helloween were possibly the most influential heavy metal band to come out of Europe during the 1980s. By taking the hard riffing and minor-key melodies handed down from metal masters like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, then infusing them with the speed and energy introduced by the burgeoning thrash metal movement, ... Great Remixes, perfect music for singers! 31 Oct. 2008
By Concerned One - Published on Amazon.com

I occasionally do karaoke, and love the 80's power metal/thrash metal sound to sing to, since that is of my era. I just managed to get both Karaoke remixes volume 1 and 2 together, and I am in heaven. These albums allows me to do that without worrying about poor quality backing tracks getting me confused on where the vocals are because the sound isn't right, or having hideous backing vocals. These are by the original band members and from original masters. Volume one is the Kai Hansen/Michael Kiske era vocals of Walls of Jerico through Chameleon albums. Favorite tracks on volume one are "Ride the Sky", "Future World", and "Dr. Stein". Great idea by these guys, and a must for Karaoke fans who like metal. I just wish my voice sounded as good as these tracks, but hey, that's Karaoke!
FYI: Also being a fan of great instramental metal, for people who like to hear the technical aspects of the drumming and guitars, this is perfect for them as well. A Must have for Helloween Fans!!!

A fine review by the metal king 4 Sept. 2006
By Laura S. Murphy - Published on Amazon.com

A great album for seriose singers like my myself ride the sky and how many tears were perfect except for one little part on the second verse where kai double tracked his vocal if the could have left the higher pitched part of his vocal in it would have been better but besides that arrangements are perfect and tommy hansen remix makes those two tracks sound for better than the original mixes. next up we have future world which is perfect to me especially since I thought michael kiskes vocal delivery on the song lacked feeling and on that song and every other song that kai wrote well he was with helloween as I think kai is a much better singer now and he was then as well The only down side to me on that song as at the end to much the backround vocals were not mixed loud enough. Next is halloween which is perfect except on the part where the song goes listen now we are calling you they should have left some of the backround vocals in but besides that song is mixed perfectly and once again it is nice not to have to listen kiske sing it which gives me a chance to sing more the way kai would have sung it then we have dr.stien which everthing in the mix is perfect. unfortunately the last two songs are two songs from the chameloan album which are first time and step out of hell. I think if they had put more tracks like maybe fifteen tracks on there and left out those two tracks and replaced them with tracks like 1.starlight the original version

2.victim of fate original version

3.twilight of the gods

4.eagles fly free

5.I want out

6.save us

7 march of time

8.someones crying from pink bubbles go ape

9.keeper of the seven keys

it would have been and still could be a very good album

never the less the majority of the songs on the album are good songs and i think it is admirable that you can hear and sing along with helloweens original music by the band themselves and not some cheap crappy karoake company. overall go out and by this album if you enjoy this kind kind of metal and are singer.
