Bought these on the strength of a previous reviewers comments, with no regrets. They are impressively waterproof, having been well tested on muddy footpaths through woods and riverbanks alike. They've kept my feet dry, and a wet cloth has easily removed muddy splashes. The sole grips well, but the 'stippled' base doesn't accumulate much mud, which is another first.
My feet are quite slim, so I felt these to be quite a generous size (almost considered an insole); they are featherlight once on, and the velcro strips mean that getting them on or off is almost instant. Clearly, come warmer weather, their lack of 'breathability' will be an issue, but as running/jogging/walking footwear in wet or muddy conditions, they've proved surpisingly impressive. Haven't tried them in snow yet though (looking out window!)
Two months later, I have good news & bad news. The good news is that the weather is now better, so the waterproof qualities of this shoe are less important. However, the bad news is that both heels have collapsed, and one is letting water in quite generously! So I've reduced my review from 5 to 3 stars, and I feel that's generous given the current cost of these (though I have used them most days). Sigh.
