It is only an introductory book. Completely worthless if you know what the GMAT is about and what it contains. Waste of money in comparison if you wikipedia/blog/google information about the GMAT. Especially because every GMAT book has an introduction and strategies (basic summary) for the section, so get verbal+math separately and it will be worth your money.

Not recommended - does not have any CAT Tests 17 Jun 2009

Format: Paperback
This book is identical to Kaplan GMAT 2010 Premier Live Online but the Live Online edition also has 5 Online practice tests and a Math Refresher section - both of which are worth the extra $12 difference. Get Kaplan GMAT Live Online instead - better value for your money.

Not sure why Kaplan would sell a book about GMAT Computer Adaptive Test without any computer practice Tests....
Get for strategies not practice questions 10 Jan 2011
By C. Li - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I thought since Kaplan is such a big test prep company that their books would be pretty good as well. That was a bad assumption on my part as the book, while having some very good strategy tips, do not have the best practice questions and explanations to the answers. The book is plagued with obvious typos e.g. correct multiple choice letter they print does not correspond with what the explanation is telling you. Sometimes there are also some assumptions they make in the explanations that they did not tell you beforehand or are flat out incorrect. Questions are also sometimes unclear (and not in a designed to confuse you way). I have to say however that I would probably never have thought of some of the strategies they used to solve problems though so that portion of the book is worth it.
Very impressive 20 Oct 2009

Pretty exhaustive explanations, and good examples.
Only complain, i have with Kaplan is their practice tests aren't close to the real ones.

Specially in the RC and CR sections, I see ambiguous answers.
