Should have read the reviews...

The title is a lie.

It isn't a soundtrack.
An entertaining Drama CD 7 Mar 2009

As a previous reviewer has noted, this is not the series soundtrack (THAT was available only with the purchase of the limited edition of the first DVD release--in Japan, not the US version--now long out of print). It is instead a Drama CD, set at the Ototachibana Academy school festival between anime episodes 5 and 6. If you happen to understand Japanese (or have a translation on hand--they're out there), then you'll be treated to an entertaining hour. More humorous in tone than the series generally, Korona and Reiko get the chance to take center stage as antagonists, giving these characters their chance for some more time in the spotlight than they were given in the series. The extra tracks at the end, though, are the gold standard here: the Orochi Confessional of Love is laugh-out-loud funny, and listening to Himeko introduce Chikane to her favorite yuri manga is nearly as priceless. While requiring a little extra effort to enjoy (unless one is, of course, fluent in spoken Japanese), it's an entertaining addition to the collection of any Kannazuki no Miko fan.
Be Warned! 11 Aug 2008
By Jack-Mo, the otaku with smelly feet - Published on Amazon.com
This is not the series music soundtrack. It is infact what I believe is called a "drama CD." Although there is some beautiful music, it serves as backround for a vocal performance simular to an old fashioned radio play. Since it is entirely in Japanese, a language I do not speak, the overall effect is that of watching an anime sub with one's eyes closed. Amazon has misrepresented this item. This is probably the last time I buy an item that has never before been reviewed. A rather costly mistake on my part.
