I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I decided to purchase these after wasting �10 on a pair of sony earphones that lasted approximately a week. When they arrived and I looked at the design I was genuinely afraid. It appears to be a regular earphone with another earphone sticking out of it thats supposed to be rammed into the deepest areas within your ear. The benefit this has of course is to create the ultimate sound barrier whilst fitting snuggly into your ear and producing the same effect as when you push regular earphones into your ears and hold your hands there. If you have tried this then you will know the kind of explosive bass sounds it produces, as do these earphones, but without having to hold your hands against you ears like a loony bin. As well as being the perfect shape to rattle your ear drums in such a way, they do produce a good quality sound that so far hasn't distorted under any pressure. However upon first listen I was slightly blown away by the amount of bass they produce, so I switched my ipod EQ over to treble booster and the sound is much better and more bearable. Bass reducer also works just as well. So ultimately what we have here is a great looking pair of earphones with a unique design which provides awesome bass and impenetrable sound blockage (great used as earplugs too), a good quality of sound and an extremely cheap price. If you're looking for a good pair of earphones without spending loads, here's your compromise!

Having factored in the delivery costs, I thought I'd give these a go, and the design does mean that more background noise is shielded. However, the sound quality is a little spongy - I suppose you should expect that at this price. if you're ordering �15 worth of kit, for about the same as ordering these (including delivery) you could include Strand SH 109 Earphones (in your Super Saver Delivery) - which I've had before and had sound quality that amazed me at the price. The in-line sliding volume control was a fatal weakpoint on those, however. Won't stop me ordering some more, though.

Don't be put off by the other reviews saying the bass is a little heavy. Personally I'm over the moon to have a pair of earphones that don't crackle and die when any remotely heavy bass comes on.
Superb product, would highly recommend
