Masterly work. Usually you may not get the same 'punch' in a video as from its original book. This video defies that trend! The story on film is uncanningly close in capturing the book. A must see.

This story is so good, over the years I have watched this every time it has turned up on tv. but why no release so far on dvd, there are stacks of us waiting to buy it , so lets have the dvd pronto.

The TV miniseries that surpasses all others

This miniseries is simply sublime TV. One of those occasions when you are so glad it was made by TV in over 5 hours and not cut and squashed into a movie. Read more
