The light arrived promptly, however the bulb inside was broken. When I looked I found that it was only a 25w bulb anyway, it wouldn't have lit a mouse house let alone a tent or an awning, so I bought a decent bulb which gives off the equivalent of 100W. Buyers should be aware that there are length restrictions too, the bulb I first bought was too long to fit in the housing and had to be exchanged for a twirly one instead. Now it works just fine!

I had already read a review of this light that said to put a brighter bulb in so that was the first thing that I did - after testing to make sure it worked! I took the bulb that came with the light to make sure to get the right size as it is a short bulb with a large screw - you can get short with small screw so make sure that you get the right one. This is the first time we have used electricity in our tent and what a difference it made being able to sit and read by a nice bright light as it lit up the whole of the tent rather than just the area around it as is usual with other lamps. Our tent has all the poles on the outside so it was very useful having a hook to hang it by in the middle of the tent and the cable is a good length easily reaching from the power supply near the door to where we wanted to hang it and would have gone a lot further to reach any corner of the tent - a large 6 man. I am very glad that I made this purchase.
This is a great product. Works perfectly and does exactly what you expect. It is versatile with it's ability to hook, hang or clip.
It is a little on the pricey side, I think, but does do what you expect.
