I have now tried three types of KalmAid on my anxious/highly strung male cat : the pill, the liquid to be squirted into the mouth, and the gell to be placed on the cat's paws. The pills, in the case of my cat, are preferred. He takes pills easily, but would obviously prefer not to have something stuck down his throat every day. The gel is sticky but too fluid and quite a lot has to be administered. My cat does not lick it off. Instead he tries to shake it off, resulting in sticky dry patches of KalmAid everywhere on him, walls, bedding etc. HOWEVER, the product itself works; I now have a much more calm and content cat, who has found a way of getting on with/tolerating my other three cats. I use it every day at the moment, and sometimes double the amount, if I can see ( or hear!) that he is moody ( when it rains, for example).
