Product Description

Synopsis

Hot on the heels of Sudoku comes Japan's latest craze. Although older than Sudoku, Kakuro is only now becoming popular in the UK. This is a cross sums puzzle, a sort of mathematical crossword, except that all the clues are within the grid. Just as addictive as Sudoku, if not more so. Take the challenge!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great collection of puzzles at 4 different levels, 8 July 2007
By

4 clearly defined levels means that you can gradually get the hang of the puzzle and even when you can do the most difficult ones you can choose which level you want depending on the amount of time you have and also the mood you're in.......how hard do you want to work?

This is not my first kakuro book and so I was particularly interested in the introduction and instructions which were quite helpful. I was, however, surprised to see that there are no tables of multiple possibilities, without which I can't solve the more advanced puzzles.........or am I missing the point? Am away to buy book 2 now.

If you're looking for quality kakuro puzzles, look no further. I'm impressed with how well this book is thought out. The puzzles are pitched at the right levels and there are enough to keep you going for ages. Great value. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such pleasure., 15 Nov 2005
This review is from: The Kakuro Challenge: 201 Puzzles! (Paperback)
I have been doing Sudoku for the last three months and was just starting to get a bit bored with it when I came across Kakuro. If you have not tried it I would suggest this book as the introduction is spot on and the 4 levels are pitched very well indeed. You also get the benefit of 201 puzzles which is double what some of the other books have. A real bargain.
