Got this because I was looking to record gameplay on my Xbox 360 with my friends without spending £100+ on high end game capture devices. I did some research on it before buying and it looked very promising so I went ahead and bought it. The product arrived about 2 days earlier than expected which I was very pleased about.

After setting everything up and installing the software (setting up takes next to no time and the sofware installation was super quick, only about 5 minutes) I have to say this is a brilliant game capture for people not looking to spend a lot! It's great quality, well packaged and the recording quailty is superb for the price. But I think one of the high points of this game recorder is the software it comes with. It's layed out very well and makes recording gameplay super easy! It has a lot of settings to mess around with to get the best possible quality video that you're looking for. Even though it records in AV or S-Video and not HD it is still great quality for the price. You can also take screenshots of gameplay which is a great little feature too!

If you're wanting full HD recording quailty then this isn't for you. As expected with the price. But I would definitely consider this as something to get as a first game capture device. It's easy to use, decent quality for the price and it doesn't burn a hole in your wallet.

All in all it's a great quality product and I am very pleased with my purchase!

- Bayley.

HASH(0x99a25e4c) out of 5 stars Useful gaming tool 8 Mar. 2012

I bought the game recorder and it works really well - the graphics are great and it uploads to YouTube without a problem. I liked being able to edit the footage and show my best stuff and I'm looking forward to reaping some Adsense revenue from YouTube with it. I might also put the playment on some of my gaming blogs as well. Highly recommend!

When this arrived I was really excited because I wanted to record my xbox right away. The recorder came with editing software, drivers and all the cables you need to record. But with the given cables you can only play the game on your tiny(maybe) computer screen. I found this hard to aim. When playing on your computer I find it makes the computer lag. it will record the video fine even if your screen is lagging but with the lag it makes the audio way off. What I plan on doing to remedy the small screen is buy 3 of the Female to 2 female cable splitters and two 3 male to 3 male cables so I can play on my TV and have it record on my computer. I am not sure if that will also fix my lag issue or not, I will post an update once the cables and splitters arrive. I suggest making sure that your computer exceeds the requirements as the recorder on high res takes up 100% of my cpu and the medium takes up about 70% (with lag.

I just recently purchased the Series 8 Capture Card by Kaiser Bass. The product was really neautral on the reviews so I decided to take a risk with this product over the Roxio Capture card. Let me say it was deffinetly worth waiting the 3-5 bussiness shipping days. The product exceeded more than what I was expecting. At first, I could not figure out why it was not working, for this is my first pvr capture device. After messing around with it I got it too work. It records all the way up to 750 at 60 fps. That is amazing for a device that I payed $50 dollars for. Honestly, this device should be $100 dollars because the quality is excellent.

- If your computer does not meet the specs do not buy this because then it will be useless to you. My computer just meet the maxium required to run 720.
- It will cause use up alot of you computer to record, so to ensure best performance make sure it is the only thing running.

I would recommend that you also buy one rca cable and three females to to male splitters to play on your t.v instead of laptop.
Note that when you play on t.v is does dim it out.

Overall I would deffinetly recommend this product to anyone wanting to start out with a capture card. If your looking for HDMI then you might want to look at the Roxio HD pro.

As far as the editing software, I am trying that tonight.

Heres a video using the card;

I was looking for a video game recorder to record my gaming to post on youtube. I found this at an affordable price and decided to buy it. This is an amazing game recorder. Only issue I noticed was that during the recording, it lags while I play games however I figured out how to fix the lagging during gameplay recording by switching some settings under standard option and setting record on low quality as well as another option that I set to high. The software it comes with works great. I just got this product so I am still figuring it out but setting it up to work with game consoles to play and record on PCs or Laptops is easy. I really like this product and highly recommend it.
