After setting everything up and installing the software (setting up takes next to no time and the sofware installation was super quick, only about 5 minutes) I have to say this is a brilliant game capture for people not looking to spend a lot! It's great quality, well packaged and the recording quailty is superb for the price. But I think one of the high points of this game recorder is the software it comes with. It's layed out very well and makes recording gameplay super easy! It has a lot of settings to mess around with to get the best possible quality video that you're looking for. Even though it records in AV or S-Video and not HD it is still great quality for the price. You can also take screenshots of gameplay which is a great little feature too!
If you're wanting full HD recording quailty then this isn't for you. As expected with the price. But I would definitely consider this as something to get as a first game capture device. It's easy to use, decent quality for the price and it doesn't burn a hole in your wallet.
All in all it's a great quality product and I am very pleased with my purchase!

I just recently purchased the Series 8 Capture Card by Kaiser Bass. The product was really neautral on the reviews so I decided to take a risk with this product over the Roxio Capture card. Let me say it was deffinetly worth waiting the 3-5 bussiness shipping days. The product exceeded more than what I was expecting. At first, I could not figure out why it was not working, for this is my first pvr capture device. After messing around with it I got it too work. It records all the way up to 750 at 60 fps. That is amazing for a device that I payed $50 dollars for. Honestly, this device should be $100 dollars because the quality is excellent.
- If your computer does not meet the specs do not buy this because then it will be useless to you. My computer just meet the maxium required to run 720.
- It will cause use up alot of you computer to record, so to ensure best performance make sure it is the only thing running.
I would recommend that you also buy one rca cable and three females to to male splitters to play on your t.v instead of laptop.
Note that when you play on t.v is does dim it out.
Overall I would deffinetly recommend this product to anyone wanting to start out with a capture card. If your looking for HDMI then you might want to look at the Roxio HD pro.
As far as the editing software, I am trying that tonight.
