Czech choreographer Jirí Kylián's interpretation of one of Japan's oldest fairy-tales, perforformed by the Netherlands Dance Theatre. A fusion of dance, music and visual images, the story follows the fortunes of a moon princess who is cared for by the family of an old bamboo cutter after she falls to Earth.

This is a Japanese fairy tale. There is no real music, but there are "sounds". A lot of action and power, but also piecefullness and magic. The instruments used are percussion, Japanese drums accompanied and wind instruments. East meets West. If you are interessted in modern ballet and the eastern culture, you shouldn,t miss this! I enjoyed it very much.
