By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
A good reference book by the master of colour. He did none of the sewing himself, but designed all the quilts to tremendous effect. He takes colours and patterns which conventional quilters would scream at, and throws them together to show how dramatic a quilt can be with very easy blocks but complicated colour "blending". His kits which accompany the book are very expensive and as with all kits, everyone would end up with identical quilts, but by using the book as a reference tool you get very good ideas to develop your own colour schemes.

Loved it! 17 Sep 2009
Format:Hardcover
This is a patchwork book that pushes colour boundaries and there are some really great ideas with colours together that you just wouldn't think would look right. It's like old fashioned patchwork with modern ideas all put together in a way that makes you think 'I could do that!' Well worth the money, even if you only look at the book and don't actually make any of the designs - I was inspired!!

wonderful 6 Feb 2007
Format:Hardcover
The first Kaffe Fassett book I ever bought, it completely changed my ideas about patchwork, revamping old and simple quilt designs by using bold and glorious colours. I love the way he encourages the reader to experiment with their own colour choices and often writes that he can't wait to see what results others will have. It re-awakened and even helped me develop an appreciation of many fabrics I would never have dreampt of using - I will own all his books one day!
