    Product Description

“The Kadochnikov System”, these two words have for a long time been a symbol of the most effective school of self-defense at the heart of which there is a scientific approach, mathematically precise movements and honored, centuries-long traditions of Russian warrior training.
Alexey Alexeevich Kadochnikov is the founder of the Russian system of personal safety technique and effective self-defense, which has no counterparts in the world.

The name of the creator of the System (Alexey Alexeevich Kadochnikov) is connected with the rebirth of the interest in the latter half of the XX century for the Russian martial arts as a system of the warrior upbringing and training.
Alexey Alexeevich Kadochnikov has been developing the System of personal safety technique and effective self-defense for more than 50 years (since 1962), which has not only revived the glorious military traditions of Russia but also has created the modern scientific framework and ideological basis that doesn’t have deserving counterparts in the world.
The results of his work – thousands of followers most of whom are military men, law enforcement officers, including the employees of the most elite divisions of power structures and departments. Most of them are officers and generals who train the men entrusted to them in the Kadochnikov System. It has saved hundreds of lives and also thousands of people who could keep their health and working capacity due to the received knowledge.
This work is the first official Kadochnikov System book in English. Here`s what you will find inside:

Chapter1: Why We Are Not Sportsmen or 7 Main Distinctions of the Kadochnikov Systema From All Kinds of Sport Martial Arts

Chapter 3: Combat Algorythms of Effective Self-Defence

Chapter 4: Back Against The Wall. Five Key Concepts of Effective Self-Defense

Chapter 5: Intelligence Is Worthless Without Practical Wisdom

    Chapter 9: Working Against Strikes

    Chapter 10: Release from Holds

1.0 out of 5 stars Price is often an indicator! 26 May 2014

So.... I was intrigued to find out about Systema, and this was one of the few ebooks in the kindle store about it. At a price less than a paper magazine, I thought I'd give it a try.
Not so good. It seems in parts to have been written and chucked screaming through google translate, but in some places is pretty much gobbledegook - most notably when getting "technical" in the use of language. Parts referring to "biomechanics" seem like a word salad of jargon bordering on nonsense (e.g. mentions of joints in the body having "degrees of freedom", a term I recall from Statistics lessons in Maths....).
For the most part, it reads as an advert for attending a course by the titular Kadochnikov, and in others, more like a wishlist of technical abilities someone who has mastered the art of Systema would be able to have. Towards the back, there are a handful of photos of burly men in DPM fatigues doing breakfalls and wrist escapes, but with little explanation (plus they look tiny on the kindle).
There is a "Resources" section that promises a specific website for various languages - I called up the front page to find it is a large form promising a "video course" in return for an email and name. No thanks, call me prejudiced but this smells of spam to me. I will look elsewhere to find out about the Russian martial arts.

It's a rip off! Just a short commercial to get you to buy more. Wish I could get my money back. Amazon should be ashamed of themselves for selling it.

2.0 out of 5 stars For under £1 its a useful introduction for someone new to the Kadochnikov System but there are better alternatives out there 30 Mar 2014

I spent a day looking through this ebook and I would describe it as an edited compilation of a lot of information already available on the kadochnikovsystem site as special reports / blog posts + some extras. I felt it was a bit of a sales pitch for their home-study course, seminars and videos. It is ok value for under £1 as it brings the material together in one place - but I'd have been disappointed if I'd paid £10.

For its current price of under £1 I'd say its a useful introduction for someone new to the Kadochnikov System.

It should be noted that there are alternatives to consider. I personally prefer the K-Sys manual by Matt Powell as it has more substance in my eyes and it also a bargain at only $2.00 from the pramek website. I also understand that Paul Genge's Structure Breaking Manual is great value at only £9.99

Waste of money. Teaches nothing about the fighting style. Cannot believe I spent money on this garbage of a book.

I like Golden Rule 4. If the enemy has caught you off guard but you're still alive- he is in your arms then.-Powerful statement.
I also liked the poem "The Sword" especially the line- 'Your head will be the tomb of all your dreams'.
This is a very good introduction into the world of Systema. This will just whet your appetite for more knowledge about the Kadochnikov System of self defense.

    3.0 out of 5 stars A bit misleading 18 May 2014

When you start the book does not take too long to realize that the majority of the book is an advertisement for his lesson program. At the end there is a light description of some "moves". I was expecting at least highlighted techniques. Also a link to a website for the lessons would be appreciated.
