I used this book recently with my son, as he as to prepare for his end-of-year exams (Year 7). We only had a list of topics to study. Before we started using this book, we really did not know where to start.
The material is simply organized with pictures and a basic vocabluary for each topic. Also on each page there are simple phrases and sentences that uses these words.
A really good guide, especially for those who know very little French.

I have used this book with a number of children, and they all seem to find it very enjoyable. Some are KS3 studying French at school, some do not have the opportunity at school but wish to continue after Primary School, some are younger and have gone through the Primary School programme I also teach. The work book, like the study guide, is written in a lighthearted, easy to follow way and the exercises are fun for the children to complete.

This book is just superb as a revision guide not just for those students sitting Key Stage 3 SATs or whatever but also for adults who studied a little French at school but now have a reason to try again, but in a more interesting way; when books like this were just not available. So this is a must buy for any adult French learners at beginners stage or just rusty students who need a quick and clear revision guide. I took a copy to my French Club and at least three people who looked at it, said they wanted a copy ASAP! Enough said!...Highly Recommended as are all other CGP Revision/Study Guides; especially the ones I have seen for the French Language both at this KS3 Level and GCSE French ... 'The Revision Guide'...which is also very good indeed for adult French Learners at 'higher beginners or intermediate stage'...after say after three years of home or adult study. I cannot understand why the good people at CGP are only marketing these guides to secondary school pupils; when there is also a whole adult learners market waiting to be exploited who don't know just how good CGP books are. They certainly know how to make learning fun!
