Again - like the Target Maths range. I would recommend this book. It is probably better for year 5 or 6 though. It is hard to find a clear book that covers maths topics without sticky stars or gimmics. This does the job.

This book is brilliant. I have used it many times with children all varing in age. The book has a good selection of questions at various abilities and even has sample SAT questions definatley worth buying

I have used this book in my Year 5 and 6 classes for years. It's the only maths book I consistently return to - full of challenge, interesting activities, SATs type questions and sheer good primary maths, all clearly set out and explained. It's my absolute stand-by, and if I ever think I've mislaid it, I can feel the panic rising in my chest! Needless to say, I never lend it to ANYONE!! Essential.

Great book! However, beware - no answers.
I've just started 1-2-1 tuition and I think this book is great for knowing what's expected in Year 6 and gives lots of practice exercises. Read more

A bible for Year 6 teachers
I have been teaching Year 6 maths (now as a headteacher) for over 10 years and despite having bought a whole bookshop's worth of books, this is still my favourite. Read more
