As a teacher I would agree with the previous parental review. These books are really clear, simple to understand and follow and great for summarising key learning points. All CGP books are like this to be honest.

If you're at all interested in helping your child tackle KS1 maths, this is an invaluable and easy-to-use tool. Not a huge weighty tome, and easy for any parent to understand. It shows you everything the syllabus covers, but PLEASE NOTE it does not contain questions. For that you'll need to buy the accompanying workbook. But if you get this you can easily generate your own worksheets for your child to practice their skills.

Bought for my grand-daughter as a present as she will be doing her stats this year. She loved the book so well worth the money. Looked well made and easily readable for her age.

Very good book for those begining maths. Only a few questions per page. We use with the KS1 study book, for really good descriptions to help child understand. 5 year old loves this book, great pictures and comical questions. Excellent buy.

Got this for my home schooled 6 year old boy. It's set out simply and easy to work through. Covers all topics for KS1. And most importantly, he enjoys working through them!!

Have both the KS1 and KS2 books - they are very well laid out and give a comprehensive overview of everything that is covered in both levels. Both of my daughters like the way in which they are written (the humour makes it easier!) You can back up each subject with worksheets / tests from other CGP books.
