With 316 bricks and other construction pieces, you can build the devious Starscream character in either robot or vehicle form with this 2-in-1 set. In robot mode, your Starscream figure is an intimidating force standing at 12" tall. Build and rebuild this villain so he can best serve the Decepticon cause. In vehicle mode, the “jet canopy” opens to fit a Kreon figure inside. After your fighter jet “takes off,” retract his landing gear and blast his removable rockets and turbo thrusters.Set includes 316 KRE-O pieces and 2 Kreon figures: Starscream and Pilot. Product does not convert. Ages 8 to 14.

My son is an avid transformers collector and a new range of transformer-like toys caught his attention just prior to his birthday.
First impressions are that there are a huge number of pieces considering the size of the car/robot. My son is fortunately also a keen builder of some reasonably complex lego, so this did not put him off. However, the instructions and the pictures were not as clear as they could be and as such, there were many requests for help from Mum and Dad.
Once final made, the models look good, however, they are quite unstable. For example, I would have imagined the car at least would have been stable enough to push around, but because of the intricacy, bits tend to fall of. The chassis also tends to come apart (which is quite key to being a successful Autobot I'd imagine!)
The models do look good and my son is happy with it, but I feel unlike his other transformer toys, this one will be confined to a shelf.
Good fun, educational to build, but not long lasting appeal.

Was bought for my grandson but think his grandad had more fun in putting it together. The colours on the instruction sheets were difficult to follow at times and therefore mistakes were made. You need a lot of patience and time. Once the plane had been made my grandson did not want to bother with making the robot so do not know what this is like. It contains many lego pieces, so you need somewhere to store them if you want to keep them separate from other lego parts, etc.

The Kre-o bricks are better quality than many of the older style Lego-compatible bricks, but the finish isn't as perfect as Lego. They click together well though, and the toy is sturdy. The instructions were good in many respects, but they could have been clearer about the distinction between light grey, dark grey and black bricks. This caused a little confusion for my 7 year old, but it was easy to resolve. Overall, a good buy.
