Product Description

i10s responds to Receiver Remote AVRCP commands (Play, Pause, Next, Previous). Smallest size compared to other products made by other manufacturers in this category. Transmits stereo audio from iPods, iPhones, iPads wirelessly to compatible Bluetooth receivers. This product is BOTH Made-for-iPod and Works-With-iPhone, unlike many other iPod Bluetooth Transmitters that are only Made-for-iPod. Includes Authentication IC chip, which allows for local iPod, iPhone, iPad volume adjustment - that is not possible with other Made-for-iPod only transmitters that do not include Authenticaion IC chip. Low power consumption, for many hours of wireless audio enjoyment with iPods, iPhones and iPads. No batteries needed, powered by iPod/iPhone/iPad. No cables needed, attach to iPod/iPhone/iPad via 30-pin connector. Simple to operate. Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Class 2. Works with iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPhone (1st gen), iPod touch (1st-4th gen), iPod nano (1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th and latest 6th gen tiny iPod nano), iPod classic (80,120,160GB).
Advantages of this new Tiny i10s vs Sony's (2006) iPod Transmitter:
(1) i10s includes an Apple Authentication chip that will authenticate with iPod/iPhone/iPad. This authentication process enables local volume adjustments on the iPod/iPhone/iPad to change the volume at the remote receiver. Sony iPod Transmitter does not have an Apple Authentication chip and because of this there is no local iPod/iPhone/iPad volume adjustment possible to change the volume at the remote receiver.
(2) This i10s is less than 2/3 the size of Sony's iPod Transmitter, making this a better fit for your iPod/iPhone/iPad. i10s industrial design is a better match for the elegantly designed iPods/iPhones/iPads.
(3) No buttons needed to pair and connect, just plug i10s into iPod/iPhone/iPad and it will automatically pair and connect to receiver. No button also means no additional mechanical failure mode on this i10s device.

To be honest, I was nervous about buying this due to the lack of reviews and the fact that it had no connect button and relied on it simply working. Well, no need to fear, it did simply work. It connected to my Sony MW600 in a matter of seconds and has not faltered. It's tiny, looks great, contacts perfectly with my iPod Classic, and both units connected together fit well inside all of my various carrying cases (armband when cycling, iPhone-sized case when walking, etc. My only fear now is losing the damn thing as it's so small!

I was skeptical when I first looked at this product. I went looking for it after wondering if I could get more use out of my Henson bluetooth headphones (another Amazon purchase, highly recommended); I enjoy using them with Spotify on my phone, but for my own reasons I still appreciate my gen-6 120GB iPod and its large music library (and its battery life far exceeds my phone's). So when I first saw the i10s mentioned, I was pleased this technology was possible, but I wasn't sure such a device would work well. After all, Bluetooth headphones are designed to be set up and controlled by the transmitting device, so you have to place a bit of trust in this device. That said, the reviews on here really helped and they're accurate; many people have found this device does exactly what it says it does, so I bought it on the strength of those reviews.

I ordered this on Monday, but Amazon took until Friday to dispatch it with free delivery. On the upside, it arrived on Saturday, and I got emails saying it was out for delivery, and had been dropped through the requested letterbox, which was very good. The device comes in a box the size of a small box of matches. When getting it out of the packaging, you understand why they make a big deal of putting 'Tiny' in the product name - it really is! It's not a lot bigger than the actual Apple USB connector, jutting out of the bottom of the iPod by about 10mm. The only interactive thing it has is a blue LED that blinks when something happens.

Setting up is as easy as the manual suggests, but I did follow the advice of one reviewer and turned off all Bluetooth devices in the vicinity before attempting to connect.

I have a 160gb iPod Classic which I am linking to my Bose SoundLink Mini using this Kokkia i10s.
Setting it up was simple, firstly I switched on the Bose, then the iPod and finally inserted the Kokkia into the iPod. The first time I set it up it did take a while for the iPod to find the Bose but once connected it worked perfectly.
I'm really impressed with the sound quality and it's great to be able to use all of the iPod controls, including altering the volume.
Following initial set up every time I connect the iPod to the Bose I follow the same logic to connect the equipment as I noted above, it takes about 10 - 15 seconds for a link to be established and off I go.
Finally I haven't noticed the Kokkia excessively running down my iPod battery.

Marvellous, works great with the iPod and Bose 10 with Bluetooth . It allows me to sit and select anything I like without suffering poor tracks on an album.

Yesterday morning I tried to pair my new Kokkia i10s bluetooth adapter with my iPod Classic and my Bose Soundlink bluetooth wireless speaker without success, but I was not following the procedures correctly.
I tried again last night following the procedures downloaded from Kokkia's website and it worked beautifully.
I love it.

This little gadget and I mean small (my only worry is it could easily be list) does exactly what it is supposed to do.
It is simple to use just plug it in to your iPod pair it with your blue tooth speaker and of you go.i have the Bose mini sound speaker and it works perfect.
On set up just make sure you have all other blue tooth devices switched off,it then takes about 10 seconds for your iPod to be paired and music is played without faltering.
This really is an ideal small piece of kit which enables me to listen to the music on my iPod through a quality speaker.
Finally thanks for the super fast delivery ordered on the Friday delivered am Sunday great service.

It really is a neat piece of kit but unfortunately when in my iPod Classic it would not pair with my Damson Twist. Strange because my iPad pairs up with it well. Disappointed because it seemed the perfect answer to listen to my music when I didn't want to wear earbuds.
