Symbols is one of my favourite albums. The new re-mastered edition has better sound than their latest - Blitz / Krieg. I have audiophile-grade gear and the sound is really mind-blowing. A definite upgrade even if you have the original 1997 edition!

Well I was first introduced to KMFDM through Skold, as a fan of his solo work and the stuff he did with Marylin Manson. And I am so glad I did find them!! Fantastic ultra heavy beats! This album combines industrial and electro beautifully. The production is mean and heavy but not too over the top. A brilliantly crafted album! Defiantly one for the CD collection.

Symbols is one of Kmfdm's more "electro" albums although it still features some great riffs here and there and live drumming from Bill Reiflin of Ministry fame. In my opinion Kmfdm's sound was much fuller on the songs where Bill played live drums.
Stand out songs are the opener "Megalomaniac", "Leid Und Elend" (awesome mix of electronics and guitar) and the cheeky "Spit Sperm" which builds up with some heavy drumming courtesy of Wee Will Reefer than drops into classic driving Industrial Metal mayhem.
Definately one of Kmfdm's better albums.
