The Kitchen Garden makes a perfect gift as it contains everything you will need; stylish box with simple instructions, ready-to-go growbag, water spray pump & recipe card - as well as coffee grounds from one hundred espressos!
The Oyster Mushrooms you'll grow have a delicately rich flavour, enticing velvety appearance & smooth, firm texture. Nutritionally, Oyster Mushrooms are a treat too; they are low in fats & calories, & are rich in antioxidants proteins & minerals, particularly iron.
Like us, the mushrooms love the coffee and grow beautifully in this typically-discarded resource. And before you ask, they don't taste of coffee, nor do they contain caffeine.
So, all you need to do is find a light airy spot in your home to place your Kitchen Garden, follow the instructions & harvest your Oyster Mushrooms two weeks later. The only hard part is choosing whether to have them for a luxurious breakfast on a wedge of freshly baked bread, for lunch in a in a light salad, or in a risotto, casserole, stir-fry, soup or stew at dinnertime - bon appétit!

Fabulous gift! I bought 2 of these great kits, 1 for my gourmet sister in law and 1 for my chaotic, wannabe gourmet father, both loved their kits. I didn't see them till at least their second or third harvest, was amazed by the growth and the culinary results.
Arrived on time on both occasions, apparently really easy to do with instructions so clear even my dad was up and running within a couple of days. A brilliant fresh addition to any kitchen, I might have to get one for myself!

Tonight I made mushroom stroganoff with my very own home grown mushrooms from these fab little kits and they tasted wonderful!
The box arrived in no time at all - it looks neat and compact and sat nicely on my kitchen window sill. Clear instructions on the box and all it demands is a couple of squirts of water a day - this is a far cry from the flea infested mushroom kits we used to buy back in the 90's! The mushrooms emerged in no time at all - it was wonderful and actually quite astonishing to watch them growing bigger every day through their little window and in just over a week I had a perfect crop - or flush as it is technically known! There's a great novelty factor with these mushroom kits and I love the thought of reusing and recycling as they are grown out of used coffee grounds. There's obviously a lot of love which has gone in to this product and I did actually check out the Express Mushroom Company's website and even posted a picture of my mushrooms on their Facebook page! And of course, I forgot to mention - there's a chance of a second flush so bring on more recipe ideas! I love this product and it is also a great idea for a gift - I'm already totting up how many people I can give one to for Christmas!

Great Christmas Gift
