5.0 out of 5 stars Help when most needed, 15 Aug 2007
This review is from: KILLER PRESENTATIONS: Power to the Imagination to Visualise Your Point - with PowerPoint (Paperback)
I bought this book 5 days before I had to produce an important presentation. In a desperate attempt to create something that would not completely embarrass me I tried some of the suggestions in the book. To my surprise I was able to move away from my usaul bullet points with ease and create some engaging slides. I think my audience have a lot to thank Mr Oulton for!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Tremendous Inspiration, 1 Jun 2011
By
This review is from: KILLER PRESENTATIONS: Power to the Imagination to Visualise Your Point - with PowerPoint (Paperback)
Before reading this book I considered myself to be a very good presenter. However, I have since reviewed some old presentations I had kept on file, and I now realise that they are nothing short of atrocious! Whilst I am able to talk comfortably in front of an audience, I fear that I my presentations were not engaging enough to have created a lasting impression. As the author points out very articulately, the whole point of a presentation is to relay your message to the audience so that they are able to understand, digest and remember the content. This book has been such an inspiration for me, to the extent that I am now able to produce presentations that are much more dymnamic, engaging and effective. My future audiences owe their thanks to the author, and so do I! I would strongly recommend this book, even to more experienced presenters.

A refreshing easy to read book that puts presenting 1st and then how to use PowerPoint to effectively support the presentation.
