After weeks of reviewing I decided to stay with Sony, my Sony Trinitron gave up the ghost after 14 years of loyal service.
This is a fantastic TV, set up was easy and the picture is amazing. I decided on 40inch as the room is not huge and to be honest I'm glad I did.
In addition to the TV I upgraded to sky hd at £10 a month - and got a free hd box. Bought a wireless dongle to connect tv to the Internet for BBC player, Facebook etc at around £50. Two pairs of Sony TDG BR250 small glasses for the kids - £30 each - these have batteries and are not rechargeable also a 3D bundle with 4 movies and 2 pairs of TDG BR250 adults glasses (these are rechargeable) for around £125
In addition bought a new stand and a Sony blu ray 3d player (BDP S480) around £100
The depth of the picture on the hd channels is fantastic and the 3d experience even better. The Internet content is great and quality of streaming really good.
Even the wife admits it was a great purchase - what more can I say?
