The K-Swiss Optim Tennis Shoe is designed to provide unrivalled levels of support, comfort and durability for young players. The outsole features a durable rubber construction with forefoot flex grooves that allow for great ease of movement. Traction comes courtesy of the raised pimple grip, suitable for use on artificial grass and clay. The compression moulded Eva midsole provides excellent cushioning whilst keeping the weight down allowing for comfort and manoeuvrability.

I bought these for my 7 year old son a couple of months ago and chose them because it is a reputable make at a decent price. He only wears them for a couple of hours once a week for indoor tennis so I guess at the point of writing this review he has worn them about 10 times.
The first time he wore them I was alarmed at how quickly and severely they scuffed at the end. Now he has worn them approx 10 times and they are now only worthy of the bin! All the stitching around the toe area has come apart to reveal very thin and flimsy 'leather upper'.
I am realistic enough to realise that 7 year old boys and trainers do not have a long life expectancy but I have never know a shoe to disintegrate as quickly as these did.
I really wouldn't waste your money on these, as good as the price seems, it's expensive for only a handful of wears.

Trainers are OKish. NOT leather as advertised - son saw them before I could send them back and he insisted on keeping them.. Regarding the size - not ideal for children with slim/narrow feet, much more suitable for kids with wider feet.
