Giving Kärcher another chance, 8 May 2011
This review is from: Kärcher K3.575 Jubilee Pressure Washer (DIY & Tools)
I had a Kärcher pressure washer several years ago, but it broke down soon after the one-year warranty expired and I didn't replace it. Recently I saw the good reviews on the current series of these machines and decided to try again. I bought this particular model as it seemed to meet my needs without going over the top on cost, and has a good mix of useful accessories.
It arrived remarkably quickly - three days after I ordered it, with no special instructions for early delivery. The box was well packed and I soon had the machine assembled, though I have to say that the instructions for doing so are poor. It really needs a proper diagram, not the tiny thumbnails that appear in the manual, because it doesn't go together as easily as it should. The handle, for example, should simply slide into place and be fixed by a screw, but I had to take a hammer to it to get it into its housing. This had me wondering whether I had made a mistake in the assembly (I hadn't!), and a good diagram would have given me more confidence. I also found it too easy to go wrong assembling the mixer system for the detergent. To be honest, I still haven't managed to make that work, though I haven't really needed it yet, so haven't applied myself to solving the problem. It's this question of assembly and the detergent system that ought to be simple and isn't that makes me give the washer four stars instead of five. I like things to work straight out of the box - any well-designed system should do that.
That said, my first trial with the system, washing the patio with the special head, worked like a dream. I couldn't believe what I was seeing - even without detergent it cut through the grime with ease, revealing the original colours of our crazy paving looking almost like new. When I finished, I started on the car, and again, the system worked very well, leaving the car looking great. When I've solved the detergent question I'll add a note on it, but meanwhile I'll be using just plain water!
All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase. It's a good price for such a well-specified piece of kit and buying it through Amazon meant a rapid delivery. If you need a pressure washer for home use, this is an excellent buy.

What more could you ask for., 23 April 2011
This review is from: Kärcher K3.575 Jubilee Pressure Washer (DIY & Tools)
I have been looking for a pre sure washer for about a year now. I had a Karcher k3.99 which was used for all of two weeks and then decided to leak from within the internal unit. I was quite put of from buying again from the same manufacturer. Now since then Karcher have improved their new 2010/2011 models and have changed the internal working and also some models use water cooled motors. This in turn led me to have a look back into this brand. I short listed a few machines and based on price and performance and accessories decided to go for this model. I must say that for what I paid for it here on Amazon it has to be the bargain of the year. All the accessories alone sell for about £125. Meaning Im almost getting the machine for free. Don't bother with anything less then 120 bar pre sure unless you just want it for cleaning your car. This machine has cleaned a drive way a patio. The car and bike. And also some paving stones which haven't been cleaned for over 10 years and covered with yuck and deep down dirt, but no no it didn't just clean these things it left them spotless as if I had just brought them. The detergent it comes with is really powerful stuff however it uses a lot but this can be adjusted. The t racer is a god send and makes light work of an other wise time consuming job. The car brush comes with a long hose so you can do windows with it and does a very splendid job in no time. Machine was easy to put together infact I didn't even read the instructions and it was a assembled in 10 mins. I advise reading them though as I had a pre sure washer before and kinda knew what went where. It's a bit of a heavy machine but comes on wheels so shouldn't be a problem and everything just slots on it's place with the new models which is what this one is. Overall if you are looking for an all round machine which is excellent value and comes with all the attachments you'll probably ever need I Highly recommend you take a look at the karcher k3.575.
