Product Description

Product Description

Kärcher K2.120

The K 2.120 pressure washer is a compact and powerful machine ideal for cleaning cars, bicycles and garden furniture. It is lightweight and portable for ease of use. An impact-resistant, recyclable plastic casing effectively prevents dirt particles from damaging the motor and pump, whilst a safety valve prevents pressure overload. A pressure switch control switches the motor on and off when the ergonomically-designed trigger gun is pressed and released.

Air-cooled motor

There are two types of air-cooled motors in pressure washers:
1. Universal motor – this is a brush type motor that has a light compact design and a high performance versus weight ratio.
2. Induction motor – this is piston motor that is more robust and quieter than a universal one. Its construction ensures a long life time due to a minimum of wearing parts. It generally delivers higher pressure ratings and provides a very smooth rpm steadiness during periods of high endurance.

I bought this to replace my ageing (10 years old) model which was incredibly heavy. Must admit I was really shocked at just how light and powerful this was. It was so light I was really skeptical at first - but it's incredibly powerful and kicks a real punch.

I've been using it now for ages (review updated after 2 years), and it works brilliantly. It comes with a couple of different heads (although personally I just stick with one - you can buy extras if you really want), and you just plug it into a power cord, and off you go.

Cord size is reasonable, and (despite the remarkable light weight), it's really quite well built. I've been using it to clean my car (which it does a brilliant job of), but I've also used it to clean the patio without any problems.

You could pay more to buy a more powerful model, but the way I think about it - why pay a huge premium to save maybe 10-15 mins twice a year.

Well built (typical German engineering) - overall very pleased

I looked up in on the "Which" web side which kind of pressure washers were considered to be good buys, and this one was recommended as being one of the cheapest and still doing the job well. If one wants to have more attachments one can buy those separately, but I only need to clean my pavement and that went very well with this pressure washer.Very happy with my purchase.

Bought this item after reading the review on WHICH, if you've got any pressure washing jobs at home its absolutely perfect.

So far i've cleaned garage doors, metals gates before repainting, patio slabs and bikes (be careful around the wheel hubs and chain because it will blow the grease out of the hub if you're not careful).

Its very light compared with others ive used and the 4m hose is just right for using around the home, without it getting tangled up.

However its spends most of its time now being used to put out imaginary fires all over the garden as my son and I pretend to be Fireman Sam - brilliant!

We have several Karcher products (steamer, window vac, vacuum cleaner) and they all are excellent - but they obviously have 'Friday afternoonitis' on the production line.
We bought this small washer for simple household maintenance that didn't need a lot of welly - cleaning the garage doors and getting the moss and dirt off the patio slabs.
Well, we set it up exactly as described in the 32 languages supplied in the instruction book. Result? a half-hearted trickle which was less effective than the garden hose, tho' much noisier.
We took it back and after much argument with the retailer (this was in France so didn't get it on Amazon), had it replaced with another one.
This second machine is fantastic, it cleans everything outside with great effeciency and little effort, we love it (and it is great fun watching the moss roll off!).
The reason I write at such length is that we had similar non-functioning issues with the steamer, so dodgy machines are obviously an issue with Karcher.
My advice : definately get buy this brand because they are very effecient, but get it from a retailer who doesn't make a fuss about returns, and test it the moment it arrives.

My first Karcher pressure washer packed up after three years of light use. I put this down to bad luck and bought a similar machine with 110 bar about two years ago.
Last week we were using it for just the fouth time when the pressure cut out. I rang Karcher who offered advice on how to sort the problem out but this did not work. I phoned them back and they offered to collect & inspect the machine for £75, a ridiculous suggestion when the thing only cost £55 in the first place.
After much negotiation they then agreed £35 to collect and inspect it. If it was a manufacturing error they agreed to fix it and refund the £35.
A couple of days later they phoned to say that the machine was unfixable, it was not a manufacturing issue and therefore I could wave goodbye to my pressure cleaner and my £35.
Bearing in mind that the device had only had 90 minutes operating time before failing completely, I would describe this as a fundamental manufacturing error, particularly as my first Karcher didn't last much longer. But they refused to accept this and refund the £35.
Instead they offered me a £20 discount if I purchased a refurbished machine - no thanks!
The incident leaves a bad taste. I feel I am the victim of a bad machine and an object lesson in incompetent customer service. My advice is to avoid Karcher.

Although having less power than the jet washer it replaced I was surprised by its performance considering that it is much lighter and easier to handle although it does need to be stood on a flat surface. A bonus was that I can use the previous attachments.

Beware, this Pressure Washer will remove wall paint. I am pleased it does as it removed graffiti from my garden wall, but it could have come as an expensive surprise if the aim had been to smarten up the paintwork!
