fantastic and explosive, the legends come to life. really cool to see classic superheros come together in a brand new form.the only thing that has let the dvd down is the lack of special features. but apart from that a nice watch for the price.

A good start 11 April 2006
Format:DVD
Justice League is the 'continuation' of the Batman/Superman continuity starting with Batman: The animated series which is a firm favourite with the DC community. This dvd is the first adventure of the Justice League, brought together by the Martian Manhunter. As Bats and supes are the flagship characters of the DC universe, most of the character development starts with them, and the the others just sort of 'turn up' from Martian Manhunter's telepathic powers. The story is the coming together of the heroes and setting up as the league at the end. Bats is on good form as the arrogant but-good-at-what-he-does anti hero and superman as the holding-up-the-american-dream soldierboy. Action is fast and colourful, along with very good artistic style and starts the series with a good foundation. As the series progressed, it got even better.

If you remember the Timm Bruce Batman the animated series cartoon from the 90's you will remember 2 things firstly it was really good and dark and secondly the style of art work used. This cartoon is good it keeps Batmans darkness and supermans big blue boy scout heroism and then introduces Martian Manhunter who is very powerful, green latern and hawkgirl and wonderwoman and flash are there as well and there is such a mix of powers but they all seem to work together soo well as a team. The Flash however for me is the wealest link in the cartoon he is not adult enough and he tries to chat up wonerwoman alot. Was he not meant to be married anyway?
What you will notice from the cartoon is the distinct lack of powers from Batman compared to the others but watch this and you will know who the greatest super hero in the world is.
