I Have recently started collecting the J.L.A. Graphic Novels and on a recent trip to America, i was able to pick up a lot more of them. one of them was "JLA: World Without Grown Ups". i found the book to be extremly exciting and read it at least twice while on holiday. the first part of the book lets us get to to know the main characters, Robin, Impulse and Superboy. the main story is about a boy named Matt, who feels let down by his Dad, and is then embodied by an all powerful being. which was kept prisoner in a tube given to matt by his father. the being allows matt to have his every wish answered. but there is a twist. the being by answering his wishes draws energy from everybodies imagination. the boys wish is a world without grownups. what follows is a action packed comic, feeled with two worlds. the first, one with only grown ups trying to find out where all the kids are and the second, a world without grown ups where the children run a mock and it's up to the super powered teens to take charge. in the end it's all up to the child prodigy of Batman, supermans clone and a hyperactive speedster. and it shows that kids can in certain curcumstances take care of themselves.
