This is probably marketed to families with young children but both my 19yr old son and I really enjoyed listening in the car as a change from music. The stories are familiar to me at least but to hear them read by Johnny Morris was a delight. His marvellous voice and pace and ability to produce different appropriate voices for the animals and people in the stories really brought them to life, and the simplicity and repetition in the stories makes perfect sense when you hear them like this.

If you loved listening to Johnny Morris then this is for you. The way he reads the stories is great. Even my son (8) loves listening to them and he hasn't a clue who Johnny Morris is!

The warm tones of Johnny Morris entranced generations of children in the 1960s and continue to work today. This and his other Bedtime Stories CD have been regulars on our 6 year old daughter's bedtime CD player because 'she likes the man's voice' What more can you say - understated, beautifully phrased storytelling.

bought this cd as gift for grandaughter
i bought this cd for my grandaughter( 4) as a post xmas gift as she got a cd player from santa!It was lovely to listen too & relaxing enough for bedtime stories.

Kipling's "Just So Stories" and "More Just So Stories"
We bought these to entertain our two grandchildren (ages 12 & 8) on a three hour car journey. They certainly did that (they entertained my wife and I as well!). Read more

A Story for Gabriel
Lovely little CD. My Grandson loves the stories although as he is only 3 they are a bit above his head. A good introduction to Rudyard Kipling.
