As soon as I saw it in the library, seven inches long and standing to attention, I looked forward to getting it home so that I could give it a good going over between the covers. Unfortunately, when I showed it to the lady behind the counter she could not discharge it, no matter how many times she passed it over her equipment. In the end she had to call for the head librarian, who managed to reach a satisfactory climax when he took her around the back.

I couldn't wait to get until I got home so I pulled it out on the bus, but ended up being tossed off by the driver when my constant tittering upset the old lady sat next to me.

After a good meal - I think there is nothing more satisfying than a good meaty sausage - I went to bed to have a good session with my volume. In the end I enjoyed reading this book so much that I was at it all night, and nearly finished a box of tissues (wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes).

I enjoyed this book, and think it would be an ideal gift if you want to give someone one at Christmas.

Sidesplittingly funny. I have given it to eight friends for Christmas. Wonderful observations on the nuances of the English language and the troubles they can get us into. Thank you Russell Ash for making our Christmas.

Tummyachingly funny at times. Very clever. It brings back memories of how humour used to be. Not just abusing and rude like many standups today, but blatantly subtle, as it were.
Perfect book for daily loo visits........in the best sense. Time just flies.
To be highly recommended!
