Format: Audio CD
This, the debut single release from Swimmer one,is an intelligent and complex piece of modern pop whilst also being very accessible, extremely memorable and a song to cherish.
Both lyrically and musically there is so much going on "under the surface" of this record.I particularly love the discretely produced Mellotron-style samples which shimmer away in the mix.Andrew Eaton's vocals are at first quite matter-of-fact in their delivery, but as the song develops they become filled with passion and sincerity.
I believe this song to be a Modern Classic-it should be on the syllabus for all who strive to find the sparkling gems on the shoreline, rather than the washed up debris.
