Andy Griffiths has been loved by children in my Year 6 classes for the past two years. His "Just..." series of books are extremely funny (for both children and adults) and my class beg me to read them regularly. This latest book has many favourite moments... the "101 disgusting things" makes the children roar with laughter, and "two brown blobs" is highly amusing too (as are most of the other stories). Be warned that you should not expect nice fairy-tales... the main character (Andy) gets up to lots of pranks and he's completely disgusting (and stupid) at times - but it's great fun and highly entertaining!

Hilarious!!! 5 Feb 2009
Format:Paperback
This hilarious book will get even the most reluctant reader absorbed. It is loved by both my 8 and 10 year old. They particularly love the extras in the margins!!
If you only buy your primary age kids 1 book make it an Andy Griffiths.

lazyreaders.com book selection for May 2006 8 May 2006
By Dr. Danny Brassell - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I've recommended Andy Griffiths before (he is not to be confused with a certain sheriff from Mayberry), but I feel like I should include this book for parents of fourth-sixth grade boys who have no interest in reading. I read this book to boys who have never opened a book voluntarily, and I discover the boys weeks later have memorized pages! Yes, this book is not going to win any literary awards, but if it gets a boy into reading there is a greater chance that that boy will try to read a book that has won a literary award. I highly recommend this book for teachers and parents who have reluctant readers, especially boys. To find this book and other cool short book recommendations, go to [...]

A funny book for all. 15 Nov 2004
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I thought this book was a very enjoyable short read. This book has many themes the main theme being that boys get up to no good and like doing pranks. The book covers a whole lot of topics like 101 disgusting things to how to make a cake were you can choose the ending were one out of the two endings he dies. The book is a funny laugh for all and a nice reed if you want some ideas for pranks.
"Just Disgusting" is not disgusting 18 May 2010

My son does not like to read much. All his friends told him to try this book out. It is filled with "gross" stuff that 12-year-olds love. I recommend it to all parents who have trouble getting their kid to read.
