If you are looking for a book with artisan , sophisticated cakes I dont think
this is the right book.....but there are some, quite original,tasty , presentable deserts : ), like for example : Praline Parfait with vanila ice cream,Italian Rice cake, Hazelnut & Chocolate Tort,Ceylon Tea Parfait,Darjeeling Jelly ( this one looks really yummy), Banana Mousse with rhubarb compote, Light Lemon Yoghurt Flan or Banana springrolls . Havent tried anything yet as the book just arrived , but all the recipies are easy to follow, simple and to the majority of them good quality, appetising photo of the end product is provided.I do own a nice collection of dessert books but have to say in this particular book Ive found couple of new and original recipies. As a bonus there is some info provided about each ingredient used in the desserts,its origins etc...Im very happy with the purchase ; the book is cheap and even if I dont try all these recipies, the remaining, tasty ones are certainly worth the money!
