Format:Audio CD
I am a big, big fan of Jill Scott and I am happy to say that her latest album did not disappoint me at all. I think a lot of the songs are taken from years back so they feel familiar but also fresh and original.
I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who loves Jill Scott or any other neo-soul artist.

Format:Audio CD
The original Jill Scott from the vault vol 1, has given this whole CD another level up from 'The Light Of The Sun'.
How Jill brings you in to each song, like she is reading her thoughts from a Diary, is excellent, and yet fills your mind with the many little private moments and insights Jill places in your mind. The characters and relationships she creates evoke a sense of life's most intimate and painful dramas, leading you through experiences so acute as to be your own. Funny thing is, it's how you would think anyway, if you feel similarly creative and enjoy the richness of life!
From the first track, Love To Love Prelude, to Holding On, you are captured and held with every wave of Jill's rich Poetry. I would say that with all the songs on this Cd, my favourite, which takes me away with an emotional pull would be, 'Comes To The Light' (Everything). My Husband, he loves Jazz, and 'Holding On' is his favourite on the CD - the rich vibrato tone of the guitar riff recalling for him the playing of the Blue Note greats like Kenny Burrell.
I have brought all Jill Scott's CD's from. 'The Light Of The Sun' and Who Is Jill Scott?
I play Jill's music every day, and still her music just gets under your skin, and brings out the sunshine with her wonderful rich voice.

Format:Audio CD
I suspect anybody reading this is already a Jill Scott fan, so you've already tuned into her and know what she's about. If so then you'll like this album. If your not already familiar With her music and poetry then i recommend you don't start here. You'll be better of starting with her earlier offerings like " Who is Jill Scott". For me she is the Greatest! and i love everything she does. So to rap this up, it gets a big thumbs up from me. Go out and buy it. I'm Sure you wont be disappointed.
