Product Description

Off the west coast of Scotland lies a magical island of soft sea breezes, freshly caught lobster and a bank that comes once a week.

As good as life used to be. One shop, one pub, one community. One fine malt whisky distillery. A gift from nature. Pure spring water, clean fresh air and generations of tradition quietly crafting a more delicate island malt.

Colour - Deep amber gold.

Nose - Light, rich and aromatic. Positive and firm. Silky, almondy wood notes.

Palate - Firm, distinguished, elegant tones. A fruity oiliness with just a hint of smoke gently enriches the palate.

The Isle of Jura 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is the smoothest malt whisky I have ever tried. Unlike a lot of whiskies this one does not leave a sharp impression on the tongue or throat, but rather glides over the two of them so deliciously. It is so smooth that the customary recommendation by distilleries of a couple of drips of water are not needed to "Take The Edge Off It".

This is not to say that it is without taste though, the aroma of this single malt when freshly poured into the glass will ensure the drinker of the taste they will receive when lips touch liquid. This truly is a whisky with a warming texture to it that can remind one of honey, and is not as smokey as some single malts. All in all a malt to be savoured.

One of my husband's favourite whiskies, and the one that made me start liking whisky too! Arrived quickly and well packaged - thoroughly pleased with this purchase.

Excellent value for money; superb delivery; excellent packaging.

I ordered this item after a failed delivery of beer from another company. This was a short notice purchase that I did not expect in such a quick span of time (especially with the Christmas period) but it came two days later, a nice surprise! It was efficiently packaged with the best packaging I've ever seen for a bottle - truly the company cares about their product1

Now on to the whisky - I cannot fault the whisky, however, it's slightly less smooth than the regular Jura that comes in pubs - but this is a taste issue, and more experience whisky drinkers will certainly find no fault in this, even so, it's still an enjoyable dram.

Jura is a whisky with a lot of heritage behind it, and the packaging in itself a fascinating read - good to see whisky coming back in to style again in Scotland.

If you enjoy a strong, heavy weight whisky then go for this, if not then try to go for Elixir rather than Origin.

For those less experienced with a good Scotch this is a malt that needs ice or a drop of water to calm the taste.

I would recommend this as a gift or drink for older drinkers.

Just bought a bottle of this from a local supermarket and I have to say it is an amazing drop of whisky! Smooth with a light fruity taste which is just beautiful! If, like me, you have only ever had Bells whisky and found that somewhat harsh try this. Even my mother who hates the smell of regular whisky likes this and has even drunk some! Even if you like Bells, I'd say give this a try.

Single malts often seem daunting as they can be very specific in taste, unlike blends which tend to appeal to a broader palette, but this is beautiful! Great tasting whisky, and for a single malt, not badly priced (in my opinion).

I buy Jura as a gift for my Dad for every birthday and Christmas and it always goes down well. He won't touch blended whisky and due to this it can be quite expensive to find whisky that he will drink. This is guaranteed to put a smile on any true whisky lovers face without breaking the bank. Very highly recommended.

I never thought I'd come across a whisky that I didn't like at all but out of over 100 different whisky's I've tried so far this is the only one I couldn't drink. To its credit it does have a very unique flavour but unfortunately it is not one that I was able to appreciate.

Bought as a gift. I'm not really a whisky drinker, so was a shot in the dark. Turns out it was a good choice!
