5.0 out of 5 stars A summary view of Jung 22 Oct. 2011
Reading Jung is never going to be an easy ride but it is made all the more understandable and rewarding by Murray Stein in this interesting book.
Stein's comprehensive knowledge of the complete works of Jung , his understanding of the Human Psyche based on years of experience, and his own personal interpretations make this a worthwhile read, but also give the reader new insights and fuller comprehension of what is a complicated and difficult field of study. The effort required is more than worth it, and as a starting point for a beginner or as an advanced tool in Jungian study, this book is a useful source for direction.

This is an outstanding book. The author's personal experience, love of the subject, genuine expertise and wisdom shine through it. If you value the discoveries of Jungian psychology and would benefit from a powerfully coherent overview, this is the one to get. A beautiful thing, to be enjoyed like a very good meal, and often revisited.

5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful account of psyche anatomy 31 Aug. 2014

Format:Kindle Edition
beautifully and simply describe Jung scientific approach to map out the map of human psyche. The result is very pleasantly surprising and is much more than just an introduction to the work of C.G. Jung. It seems the anatomy of the psyche is at very least as sophisticated as the body's. Its rare when I leave a review but this book deserves it.

I would name this book "Stein's map of Jung's thought". Clearly structured, easy to read, this book provides an exhaustive outline of Jung's ideas. I would recommend it to everyone interested in Jungian psychology!
