Reviews

Featuring the vocal talents of Bill Murray, John Belushi, Christopher Guest and the son of original Tazan Johnny Weissmuller Jr., JUNGLE BURGER is a rare treat: an adult animated feature that is outrageously sexy, unashamedly rude and decidedly earthy in dialogue! Inspired by the classic jungle duo Tarzan and Jane (not forgetting Cheeta the chimpanzee), it is an hilarious exercise in role reversal. Tarzan becomes SHAME - weak, cowardly and sexually inadequate. Jane becomes JUNE - strident, sexually demanding and naked most of the time. Cheeta becomes CHEAPO, a randy primate who delights in fondling June s breasts and swinging on Shame s genitalia.

Shame, is aghast when June, is kidnapped by a gang of giant penises. They take her to their queen, Bazonga, a bald woman with fourteen breasts. After tangling with a gang of great white hunters, a marauding lion and the Molar Men, Shame sets off to rescue her. With only his faithful friend Cheapo at his side, he heads for the dark heart of the jungle... Bush Country!

First time to DVD!

Genre busting adult cartoon aimed at debunking childhood myths of the safe life in the wooden pen. This has Tarzan transformed into a coward who cannot satisy his woman. The erswhile hero is played by Weismuller's son, the archetypal Tarzan of the Jungle. The baddy is a bald woman with several mammary glands who wants to rule the world. All done in the best possible poor taste.

She produced children who are squashed into their members who become her willing sub servants. They go on the mission to retreive the woman with the beautiful red hair so she can have a transplant.

Meanwhile everyone has to brave the terrors of the African jungle, where the natives are thick and slothful, the animals trapped in a world of war against all and the Europeans/Americans are greedy avaricious eviro rapists.

This was probably ground breaking in 1975 but in 2011 with the growth of adult films and the inbetweeners such as the Simpsons this appears to be dated. It is a museum piece. Worth watching for social historical purposes, it may raise a guffaw but in reality in says nothing to a modern audience other than playing with a few post modern stereotypes.

If you don't/can't laugh at this film ALL the way through then you must have had your humour removed at birth.

Funny and smutty is how I would discribe this cartoon film ,The plot centres around the Tarzons girlfriend Jane being kidnapped for the purpose of a hair transplant by a bald witch who lives in a 'shaped flying machine'.And Tarzons attempts to rescue her. As the film progresses it shows rather typical stereotypes such as an American tourist talking on his mobile phone without a care in the world. For some reason Tintin {The same Tintin from the books by Herge} appears in this film in a non speaking role apparently trying to teach a group of monkeys about God.The film includes hunting and cannibalism but is portrayed in a amusing way. I rerember seeing this film on a shop display many years ago but I had never watched it until now.It is definately worth viewing if you want a good laugh.

I still have an original VHS video of this comedy animation and previously
converted it to DVD for my own use several years ago. The quality however
was still as video tape, so I was pleased when it was eventually released
properly on commercial DVD. If you are broadminded (and you will need to be)
then I will heartily recommend this film. It is the type of comedy you can watch
again and still find it hilarious.
