Product Description
Photographer Philippe Halsman became one of the most sought-after celebrity portrait artists of his generation, creating memorable images of famous personalities often jumping in midair for LIFE magazine. Before coming to the U.S., however, Halsman suffered a terrible fate. Set in 1928 Austria JUMP brings us the true story of the first trial of a Jew by the Nazi government. Philippe Halsman and his bullying father Morduch, share a troubled relationship, which turns increasingly sour as the two embark upon a hiking tour in Austria. When Morduch is found murdered, Philippe is charged and convicted of the crime. Is the assumption of guilt based on strong evidence, or on the Halsman family s Jewish faith?

Simply a great film about a famous New York photographer Philippe Halsman (Ben Silverstone) who in 1928 goes on a hiking tour of Austria with his Father.
Their relationship with each other turns sour and during the hike his father falls down a steep ledge and is killed.
Philippe is convicted of murdering his father.
However some years later with the help of a parden he is freed and offered a career with a New York Magazine as a photographer, Thanks to his breif (Patrick Swayze).
Ben Silverstone (Get Real) plays a big Role in this film and is simply awesome. 10/10.

Great Period Piece
This is one of the few movies that shows that Austria was just as much a part of NAtional Socialism as Germany in the 1920's.
