The child joins DeeDee the duck as she goes to play at her Granny's house and together they explore 7 different activities. The child can help DeeDee to count fish, turtles and frogs in a pond, help a butterfly to change the colour of flowers and assist DeeDee's friend Chippy to make toys out of different shapes. The ABC mice help teach the alphabet, although unfortunately they do not use phonics and lower case letters. In Granny's kitchen, the child is able to draw, colour and move stickers around to create pictures. There is a hide and seek game in the woods and a musical activity in the waterfall. The child can initiate a response by either pressing any key on the keyboard or by rolling the feather cursor over an object (in most cases it is not necessary to click on the mouse). There are two levels for all the activities except for the Picture Playtime and Musical Waterfall, although we sometimes experience problems changing the level. There is a song on each activity screen, which can be heard by moving the cursor over the musical note in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Background music accompanies each activity and this can get rather irritating after a while. I bought this CD-ROM for my daughter who is 2� years old and has already got some experience in using the computer. She particularly enjoys the hide and seek activities in Peek-a-Boo Woods which she can manage without assistance. She needs guidance with the other activities and she is enjoying learning colours, shapes, numbers and letters in a fun way.
