It's not often that I come across an album where I love every track on there, but The Memory Machine is one of the gems. Julia Stone has an unmistakable voice that sticks with you long after you stopped listening. I personally feel this solo album is as good (if not, better) than her work with her brother Angus. The Memory Machine is very much an acoustic album with haunting, epic pieces. The stand out track for me has to be "Winter on the Weekend", which I could listen on loop for a long time. The album artwork is also stunning, and compliments the moody, dark tone of the album.
